2012 and counting...

So at least it's only been about a month since my last post and not a year. I figured I better get caught up now rather than wait a few weeks and then be bogged down with the start of another school year.

So January to Spring not much was going on. Seth and I did break away from everything for a while though and go to a Renaissance Fair. He loves them and it was my first time at one.

Seth tried to climb the wall for a chance to win $10. Sadly, he didn't make it.

We had a little fun being art.

What's the fun if you don't go in costume?
From October to April Seth was taking classes for Massage Therapy. He graduated and his parents took us out to lunch afterwards.
Getting his certification! (Now he just needs the job to go with it)
About two weeks later it was his birthday! I had been planing his gift and dinner for about two months so I was really glad that everything worked out...mostly.
So he wouldn't keep stealing mine, I got him his own iTouch and had it preloaded
with all his music and favorite games. I'm so sneaky! hehehe

Seth LOVES legos so this was my take on a lego cake. He loved it!

His dinner was Henry's with shrimp wrapped in bacon. It was based on a meal we had while in Texas.
This was the part of the night that went a little bumpy. Seth nearly chocked when the bacon started to unwrap down his throat. He really needs to learn how to chew. hehehe
Now for the big stuff. Once school was out, and after we moved into our new two-bedroom apartment, we were able to get away to Idaho/Utah/Colorado for three weeks! We spent a week with Mom and Dad hanging out in Idaho, then headed down to Utah to go to Lagoon! Seth had been there before but not for many years, so it was fun to do it with him.

Seth and I on the Sky Ride.

Mom and Dad on the Log flume. It's the only canoe we can get her on.

We all went on the go cards. This is Seth and Dad before I LAPPED them!! Hehehe. They still haven't heard the last of it!
After a day in Lagoon, and a quick stop at a family baby shower, we went over to Colorado since Ashley, Jordin, and Pailey were there visiting the Boyds. We had a lot of fun even if it was a short visit.
Miss P loves the Boyd's fish tank.

Pailey going around giving everyone hugs before going to bed.

Pailey loves this cat, but it looks like she might be biting it.
Before heading to Colorado, we went to Cabellas and got his little pop gun for Pailey. I thought it would drive her parents crazy, which was half the fun in getting it, but dad found another use for it. I tried to upload to video of how it actually happened, but it doesn't like me, so here's what happened.

Pailey was playing with her pop gun and Dad taught her to aim at the light. Then he shot it causing the light to go out. (mom was by the switch). He needed the light to come back on so Pailey could shoot it next so he put his hand out and magically it came back on. Well Pailey is a fast learner and started doing it do. For the next day and a half we were turning the lights on and off all over the house.
Pailey getting the hang of popping the gun all on her own.

She would shoot the light and liked to say 'pop!' as the gun goes off.

Turning the light back on so she could shoot it again.
On our way back from Colorado to Idaho we stopped by Arches National Park.
Elephant Rock. I don't know if that's it's actual name but it should be.

Seth and I with the famous arch far far behind us. Squint, you'll see it eventually.
Once back in Idaho we got ready for one of Seth's favorite holidays, the forth of July. He loves any holiday that involves explosions.

Our Fireworks haul and our cute picnic cake.

Dad and Mom's dog Bella who is scared of everything so we tried to muffle the sound of the fireworks.
It didn't turn out to well.

Getting ready to watch the fireworks in the Hospital parking lot.

What can I say, we kiss and sparks fly!

Seth and a firework. Yes, he's a very happy boy!
We'll school's going to start again soon so it will most likely be a while before anything blog worthy happens, but when it does I promise it won't take a year to write about it. I hope. :)

Year in Review

So i guess it's no secret I'm really bad at keeping this updated. So the last blog entry was about Seth's birthday over a year ago. I'm going to give you the highlights of what's been going on since.

Right after school ended, Seth and I headed to Florida for a week for our official Honeymoon. We spent most of the time at Walt Disney World. It was my first time back since my internship there back in 2005, and it was Seth first time ever. I loved showing him all my favorite spots and seeing all the new stuff they added. We had a blast. He keeps asking when we're going to plan another trip.

Our first day was at Typhoon Lagoon! So much fun!

Seth loves the tea cups. Me, not so much.

I love our wedding Mickey and Minnie ears!

We also got to go to the new Harry Potter World at Universal Studios! LOVED IT!

Butter Beer is soooo good!!

Last summer we were only able to get up to Idaho to visit family for about a week, but we still had a great time. It was Seth's first time to my parent's house in Idaho, and his first time back to Idaho since his mission. Technically Seth didn't serve in Burley, but he was right outside it. His mission was the Boise mission that went all the was down to Twin Falls, but no farther. To think, he was right in my back yard for two whole years and I didn't even know it.

So it's been over a year since my last blog entry.

Playing Crockett with the fam in the back yard.

I don't remember what I was laughing at but this is one of my favorite pictures.

A visit to Shoshone Falls.

We climbed down to another waterfall right outside of Twin Falls.
We didn't even know it was there, Seth showed it to us and convinced me to climb down with him.

Seth and I standing in the spray.
He climbed down even farther, but I didn't want to get wet so didn't go.
I haven't heard the end of it yet.

The rest of the summer we found ways to entertain ourselves around Cottonwood.

There's a place up near Sadona where you can fish for trout and just pay for what you catch.

You have to be really good at fishing with poles. Which took some getting use to.

It took about two hours, but finally Seth and I each got a fish.

These were the firework for the 4th from the top of Seth's parent's roof.
Seth and I at the Verde Valley Fair on the Farris Wheel.
Once School started for me, life got back to the normal chaos. Seth started his school for Massage Therapy in October. Nothing much report worthy happened until Thanksgiving when we went to Texas for a week to spend it with Ashley, Jordin, and Pailey.

Cute Pailey hugging her pancake.

She loves her Uncle Seth.

We had lunch on the beach!

Walking along the beach. Ok, not just walking. ;)

At a sea food restaurant. It was really good!

Playing the Wii, a family event.

The whole family sitting down to Thanksgiving dinner.

This is just funny. This is how Ashley finished our Christmas presents for us while we were there. She's a nut.

Once December came, life got a little more crazy. My birthday, our anniversary, and Christmas, all come in a two week period. Yeah, life is crazy.

My Birthday. Seth surprised me and got me a red velvet cake from Cold Stone!

We splurged for our First Anniversary and went to a nice dinner at the Casino.

I surprised Seth with this dress. It took a few extra minutes to get his jaw back off the floor.

Our little Christmas together. Very different from last year when we had all seven of us (mom, dad, Ashley, Jordin, Pailey, me, and Seth) but we had a great time for our first Christmas just the two of us.

Seth loves his pocket knife 'Charlie', but forgot it was in his pocket when we were leaving Texas and
had to toss it in the trash before we got to airport security. This was first Christmas gift, 'Charlie Jr.'

Our Christmas haul.

After the new year, life continued in it's usual crazy way. I do have more photos of all the things we did, like a trip to the renaissance fair, Seth's graduation, and his birthday. Not to mention we're currently in Idaho for three weeks and plan to do a bunch of things including a trip to Lagoon. I promise it won't take me a year to put them up. I hope.
